INTERNATIONAL WORKS:

  1. Advising and negotiating a multi-million-dollar investment project exceeding $300 million USD on behalf of a Chinese investor in connection with their Bio-Tech venture under the Bangabandhu High Tech Park Authority;
  2. Advising Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) regarding the dispute in Jhilmil Residential Project Dhaka (Estimated Project Cost $100 million USD) with SVC Jhilmil Residential BD Ltd. and BNG GLOBAL HOLDING SDN. BHD. (MALAYSIA);
  3. Represented employees of Chevron Bangladesh (fully owned by Chevron, USA) in a landmark $72 million USD settlement, enforcing profit entitlements under the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 in a high-profile, precedent-setting case before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. This is the largest settlement in the history of Bangladesh;
  4. Assisted Eastern Bank PLC in securing $35 million USD loan transaction from the OPEC Fund and $30 million USD from FMO-Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank and German Investment Corporation;
  5. Repossessed knitting machines worth $9 million USD for Stoll (Karl Mayer Group) from the factory premises of a Bangladeshi buyer and secured a $15 million USD settlement against Deshbandhu Group;
  6. Assisted Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd. regarding lease and aircraft deliveries to US Bangla and their affiliate, Air Astra;
  7. Advised Augmedix Bangladesh regarding the regulatory compliance in Bangladesh due to Commure (USA) acquisition of Augmedix (USA);
  8. Represented ECOM Agroindustrial, securing multi-million-dollar settlements against raw cotton buyers; successfully defended ST Electronics, a Singaporean firm, against civil cases aimed at frustrating a $1 million USD arbitration award; and acted for the International Cotton Association to uphold blacklisting and enforce arbitration awards against defaulting buyers in Bangladesh;
  9. Advised and represented SEMAC, a major Indian contractor, in a high-profile dispute with The Coca-Cola Company (International Beverages Limited), successfully pursuing the recovery of a substantial undisclosed sum;
  10. Successfully defended Siemens, a German multinational, in a high-profile criminal case under the Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2004, filed by the State (ACC), showcasing our expertise in complex criminal litigation;
  11. Successfully represented the Italian Embassy in recovering possessions of deceased citizens involved in a terrorist attack; currently advising on the murder of Italian citizen Cesare Tavella; and regularly advising the American Embassy and its citizens on Bangladeshi legal matters, reflecting our expertise with high-profile international clients.
