Firm Overview:
Rodríguez, Vergara & Compañía was founded in 1990 by Pablo Rodríguez and Pedro Pablo Vergara, later joining them Fernando Rabat. Since its inception the firm has been essentially focused on litigation, counseling its clients in legal conflicts and seeking alternative solutions to resolve them.

Its partners, in addition to having extensive experience in litigation before the Supreme Court, Courts of Appeals, Civil Courts and arbitral justice, have a distinguished academic background. Pedro Pablo Vergara and Fernando Rabat serve as professors of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law of the Universidad del Desarrollo. Senior partner Pablo Rodríguez was Dean of that same Faculty until 2016.

All of them, and most notably Pablo Rodríguez, have been noted as some of the country's best evaluated litigation lawyers. Also, Pedro Pablo Vergara and Fernando Rabat have been serving as arbitrators at the Santiago Chamber of Commerce for many years.

The team of Rodríguez, Vergara & Compañía includes three partners and three associate lawyers of great experience. They are joined by two junior associates who helps the partners and the other associates. Litigation Against the State & its Agencies:
The firm has been part in important litigations against the State and its agencies, in damages claims or claims for administrative sanctions.

Arbitration:
Partners and associates have long experience in carrying out arbitration proceedings. Some of them serve as arbitrators of the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago, and are part of the list of arbitrators of the Santiago Court of Appeals.

Others:
In the last years, the firm has been involved in environmental cases followed before the Environmental Court, and in administrative claims before public bodies.

International Work:
The firm has experience with foreign companies, assisting them in disputes over assets located in Chile. It has also acted as legal advisor in the resolution and transactions that settled such disputes.
