Punct Law Firm is a boutique firm in Copenhagen, Denmark, with currently 11 fee-earners (4 partners). Punct was founded in 2023 by partners Peter Christian Kierkegaard, Lotte Noer, Lisbeth Vedel Thomsen and Søren Plomgaard, with a vision to establish a new firm with a strong strategic focus on real estate, dispute resolution and corporate/M&A.

The partners at Punct have all been trained with band 1 law firms in Denmark and have since completion of their training acquired a broad range of experience, both as external and in-house counsels, and some have also served in commercial/managerial roles.


Main Areas of Practice

Punct’s real estate and construction practice

Punct is a real estate firm with extensive experience within the Copenhagen area, and the dedicated team provides a full range of advisory services, including development projects, transactions, leaseholds, dispute resolution etc. Punct’s real erstate and construction department is led by partner Søren Plomgaard, who has more than 20 years’ experience.

With background from a Tier 1 firm (inter alia Bruun & Hjejle) as well as an in-house attorney at Carlsberg A/S, Søren Plomgaard provides service of the highest quality from Punct Law Firm’s cost-efficient set-up.


The strategy of the commercial real estate department is to attract large clients with medium to large sized matters offering them a time efficient, partner-present experience with legal advice of the highest quality. Most of the commercial real estate department’s clients are served on a day-to-day basis for a wide range of different legal matters within real estate and construction Law. Punct is by many of its clients perceived as the number one choice for day-to-day legal counselling concerning different real estate matters.

Punct’s dispute resolution practice

Punct’s dispute resolution team handles all types of litigation, including civil court cases, national and international arbitration, and mediation. The team is fronted by the partners Peter C. Kierkegaard, Lisbet Vedel Thomsen and Lotte Noer, who all have more than 10 years of experience. The team conduct cases at all levels of the judicial system, including the Supreme Court.


When hired, the team establish a strategy for the handling of the case, including a risk analysis, as well as an analysis of alternatives to court proceedings, eg, possibilities of settlement or mediation. Punct assess the financial complications of initiating a lawsuit in relation to alternative solutions. Throughout the life of a matter, the team continues to follow up on this to secure that the risk and the strategy is aligned. We use our knowledge on how to win a case to secure the client an attractive settlement where possible.


The team focuses on litigation regarding corporate/commercial and insurance/torts, fronted by Peter C. Kierkegaard and Lotte Noer, who handle some of the biggest and most complex claims in Denmark.


The team is experienced in the specific procedural rules for various types of arbitration, including the rules for evidence admission, written witness statements and unilaterally commissioned expert statements. The team’s arbitration experience includes cases brought before the Danish Institute of Arbitration, the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board, ICC, SCC and ad hoc arbitration tribunals.

Punct’s corporate and M&A practice

Punct’s corporate and commercial department provides legal services to large clients with medium-sized matters, offering an efficient, partner-present experience with legal advice of the highest quality. Most of Punct’s clients use Punct on a day-to-day basis for a wide range of different legal matters. Due to Punct’s clients’ satisfaction, many major companies regard Punct as the number one choice for legal advice on small to mid-size matters and for day-to-day legal counselling.


Within commercial, corporate and M&A, partners Peter C. Kierkegaard and Søren Plomgaard have more than 20 years of experience. Peter as well as Søren have a background from band 1 law firm Bruun & Hjejle, and they provide high quality services from Punct’s cost-efficient set up.

Punct’s insurance practice

Puncts insurance team led by partner Lotte Noer advise Danish and foreign companies, insurance companies and reinsurance companies on matters regarding insurance law, tort law and liability. This includes defence of insured persons and entities, advice on interpretation of policies and terms, coverage analysis, advice on liability standards, calculation of losses, recourse, precautions when changing insurance, risk management, ATE insurance, etc.

We conduct many litigation and arbitration proceedings on insurance and liability issues, usually on instructions from insurers.

We work frequently with almost all types of non-life and liability insurance.
