PraeLegal Uzbekistan

The history of the international law firm "PraeLegal Uzbekistan" dates back to 2017 when the firm was founded by leading lawyers, Davranbek Ahmatov and Irina Kim at the initiative of the Regional Partner of PraeLegal International Sherzod Abdulkasimov. The firm was founded by two partners, currently the firm has a large team of over 30 lawyers and experts.

PraeLegal Uzbekistan is comprised of five main departments, where each department operates on different areas of law. The scope of the department’s activities includes starting from advising the clients in various areas of law, registering companies, drafting contracts and legal documents, developing internal and other legal documentation, conducting due diligence, carrying on transactions, analyzing the compliance with corporate procedures, participating in negotiations, commencing litigation processes, advising and carrying on the alternative dispute resolution under the International Organizations, recognition and enforcement of awards in China, representing the interests of both local and foreign citizens and companies in governmental bodies, courts as well as attracting external legal consultations to assist and issue legal opinions.

Team of PraeLegal Uzbekistan consists of highly qualified professionals, with the minimum qualification of Master’s degree in law at the foreign higher educational institutions and some with PHD degree in jurisprudence, having and being able to obtain excellent reputation in the market, with minimum 15 years of professional experience in the sphere and lastly they are also fluent in Russian, Uzbek, English, Hindi/Urdu and Persian/Dari.

International Network :

PraeLegal Uzbekistan is a member to the PraeLegal International network, which is an international network of 252 independent law firms operating in 142 countries, with 12 branch offices worldwide: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, DR of Congo, Dubai, Germany, Iran, Macedonia, Mali, Russia, South Korea, Turkey and Uzbekistan.

The grant of the PraeLegal Network membership in practice, means that the firm is eligible to have the ability and capacity to cooperate and collaborate on many projects and in many practice areas with other law firms in an international level, including various areas of law, namely, Corporate and Commercial, Banking and Finance and Cross Border Disputes. To the current date, PraeLegal Uzbekistan has collaborated with more than 40 partner law firms from the PraeLegal network on various projects.

Corporate law 

The Corporate Department of PraeLegal is involved in various cross-border transactions, including, but not limited to restructering of the company, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture disposals, with wiide experience in related disputes settlements. The team of corporate lawyers had many occasions to participate in the settlement of disputes between the parties of the established company, granting favorable exclusions in the favor of the clients in order to to avoid all the potential disputes, while protecting from future risks. Litigation

The ADR team of PraeLegal Uzbekistan has significant experience in representing the clients at the international level, in particular, ICC (France), LCIA (UK), LCAM (UK), VIAC (Austria). Meawnhile, having a close collaboration with the two of the international insitute of Arbitration, namely, BAIAC (Singapore) and TIAC (Uzbekistan).

Banking and Finance 

The Banking and Finance team of PraeLegal Uzbekistan have extensive experience in participating in and supporting complex and cross border transactions on syndicated loans involving Western and Asian financial institutions, among which there are project financing transactions secured by state and quasi-state insurance agencies from Europe, Russia and China.Regardless of the complexity of the task or the length of the process, based on the extensive experience and knowledge accumulated by specialists with the expertise in various areas of law, PraeLegal examines the cases and emerging issues of clients carefully in order to fall under the international standard and achieve their goals.
