We founded Orman Williams LLP to provide exceptional legal services to businesses and investment firms at reasonable cost. Our clients include innovative and fast-growing startups, main street businesses, venture capital firms, private equity firms, and family offices.

We regularly counsel clients on mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, venture capital financings, complex transactions, corporate restructurings, corporate governance, and new company formations. We serve as trusted advisors to our company clients from incorporation to exit and on everything in-between, including debt and equity financings, commercial transactions, executive compensation, intellectual property matters, asset sales, and labor and employment issues. We advise leading venture capital and private equity firms on their portfolio company investments and acquisitions. We guide family offices on their fund-of-fund investments, compliance, and entity structuring.

The firm's founding partners, Evan Orman and Sawyer Williams, learned their trade working with some of the best legal practitioners in the world at elite “big law” firms and venture capital firms. Our firm is purposefully small and selective – we limit the number of clients we engage and the types of matters we undertake. That allows us to deliver an unrivaled service: best-in-class legal advice that is otherwise only available at large law firms, but under a more efficient fee structure. Our partners devote significantly more time to our clients than would be possible at a large law firm. And we have relationships with a large number of specialty law firms that allow us to address a diverse range of needs, some of which may be outside our firm’s immediate expertise.
