OCAMPO’s insurance and reinsurance practice was born within the litigation practice. Today, OCAMPO’s insurance and reinsurance practice is wide enough to provide almost every legal needing their insurance and reinsurance related clients might have. Insurance and reinsurance litigation is still the oldest and ongoing practice. OCAMPO also represents clients in all aspects of insurance and reinsurance transactions. Transactions range from the inception of insurance contracts and reinsurance treaties and to regulatory matters. The firm's insurance and reinsurance practice has a wide range of clients from insurance and reinsurance companies to energy industries with risk administration and insurance matters needs. Recently OCAMPO has participated in energy claims (PEMEX), for a combined amount of 200+ MUSD. Currently OCAMPO has been involved in one of the must important aviation claims in the country.

Currently OCAMPO is advising Avla, a Chilean insurer carrier to start operations in Mexico by the incorporation of a surety and credit insurance company.
