Dispute Resolution:

■Τhe firm has developed a strong practice in the field of international arbitration and litigation and is a regular choice of foreign and local firms
■Successfully represented Mytilineos Holdings in a BIT dispute against Serbia, relating to an investment in state-owned copper giant RTB BOR
■Appointed by VW AG, AUDI AG and SEAT S.A. to act as local counsel for all Greek legal issues related to the diesel engines’ emissions matter

■The firm enjoys a notable reputation for its robust knowledge of the energy sector, including gas, thermal, solar and renewables; the team advises leading clients on contentious regulatory issues and represents them before the Greek Courts and in international arbitration
■Advising and representing Mytilineos Holidings, a listed conglomerate with activities in Metallurgy, EPC, Electric Power and Gas Trading including the largest aluminium complex in Europe, which runs the most significant co-generation power plant in Greece, one of the world’s leading EPC contractors of power projects and the largest independent electricity producer in the country
■Represented a Greek EPC project contractor in an ICC arbitration dispute stemming from a construction project located in Africa
■Represented 2 major Greek electricity producers in two ICC arbitrations against the largest natural gas importer in Greece
■Successfully represented Hellenic Halyvourgia (a major steel company and industrial energy consumer in Greece) leading to 2 groundbreaking victories in disputes against the client’s power and gas suppliers respectively

Banking & Finance:
■The firm, being at the forefront of the regulatory overhaul in the Greek banking sector, provides advice on the full spectrum of financial products and has extensive experience in securities litigation.
■Provided advice to Mytilineos Holdings in relation to the issuance of a common bond loan, of a total amount of up to €300m
■Advises local and international financial institutions and intermediaries on occasions such as tender offers for listed companies including New TT Hellenic Postbank, TEA-EAPAE and Fortress Investment Group. The team has worked with Banks to help them address all aspects of financial services regulation and compliance matters (such as Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Fortis Bank).
■N. Moussas and C. Kondis act as counsels to the Hellenic Deposit and Investment Guarantee Fund (HDIGF) and contributed to the drafting of the regulatory regime for the implementation of new directives on deposit guarantee and bank resolution and restructuring
■Advised Black Sea Trade and Development Bank on a €10m Loan Agreement with Aegean Baltic Bank along with an Assignment Agreement
■Successfully represented one of the largest Greek state pension funds, TEADY in its civil and criminal claims arising from a €10 m bond fraud
