Banking & Finance:
• Structuring and creating various securities to secure borrowings by one of the largest textile companies in Africa amounting to USD 350 Million to finance the Group’s expansion and working capital.
• Structuring and creating various securities to secure borrowings by one of the largest millers in Kenya amounting to USD 300 Million to finance the Group’s expansion and working capital.
• Acting in various large corporate and project finance transactions for a bank client including the structuring and creating various securities to secure project finance for a manufacturing company amounting to USD 240 Million

Corporate & M&A:
• Advising the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) in the preparation of contracts with over 7,000 health service providers in Kenya with the objective of assisting NHIF provide accessible, affordable, sustainable, equitable and quality social health insurance through optimal utilization of resources to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
• Advised Orana A/S, Invest in Africa, EnviroServ Waste Management Limited in setting up a presence in Kenya to enter into partnership, joint venture that allow them to conduct business in Kenya.
• Acting on the largest privatization project in East and Central Africa on the sale of 25% of the Government of Kenya’s shareholding to the public and subsequent listing of Safaricom Limited on the Nairobi Stock Exchange. This was one of the largest Initial Public Offerings in Africa.

Infrastructure Projects & PPPs:
• Advising the National Treasury of Kenya in the largest Public Private Partnership project to be undertaken by the Government of Kenya for the construction of hostels in five public universities in Kenya.
• Part of a Consortium of Advisers providing legal advice on the setting up of a 300 bed private hospital under the PPP model.

Energy:
• Advised GDC on the largest geothermal arrangement in respect of the utilization, operation and maintenance of GDC’s 59 geothermal wells with a production capacity of 280 MW situated in the Olkaria.
• Advising on the structuring and financial modelling stages of a 20-year wind power project in Marsabit County under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model under the Feed-In-Tariff-System.
• Advised the Regional Government of South Sudan in drafting procurement documents in connection with the design, tender, procurement and construction for a 30 MW thermal power plant.

Dispute Resolution & Recoveries:
• Acting for KCB Bank Kenya Limited in suits filed by unionisable employees challenging decisions by the Human Resources Department of the Bank, collecting debts arising from the corporate and retail departments of the Bank with a portfolio of about USD 20 Million.
• Representing Mugoya Construction Company Limited in a recovering of USD 130 Million Kenya Commercial Bank Limited.
• Successfully represented Shengli Engineering Construction Group Company Limited of Shengli Oil Field in a dispute arising from a contract relating to the provision of equipment and training of personnel for construction and digging of an oil well in Mogagashe.
• Represented Safaricom Limited, the largest Telecom Operator in Kenya, in major disputes involving its MPESA Money Transfer Service and its 3G Licenses.

Real Estate & Property:
• Part of a Consortium providing legal advice on the redevelopment of Ngara Estate to construct 1,300 modern and affordable housing units, a commercial centre, office blocks and other social amenities.
• Advising Tatu City Limited one of the largest property developers in East Africa on the structuring of an entire city in the outskirts of Nairobi.
• Advised Superior Homes Limited in the structuring and sale of 600 residential units in Mavoko city along the Nairobi- Mombasa highway.
• Advising Tilisi Developments Limited on a mixed land use development on approximately 400 acres of land at the Tigoni area in Limuru Kiambu County.
