The Firm has started its activities by the end of the XIX century under the direction of the Capote Valente family, switching to the leadership of Roger de Carvalho Mange in the 1960s. In the 1990s, Renato Mange assumed the direction. Formed by a solid team, acting in synergy since 1995, the office develops avant-garde and specific solutions for medium and large companies. Since its foundation, the focus area of the firm is restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy. Throughout its existence, it has filed hundreds of requests for Judicial and Extrajudicial Recoveries, achieving extremely positive results, contributing to the consolidation of the jurisprudence on the subject. With its extensive experience, accumulated throughout decades, and always attentive to the needs of the companies in economic-financial crisis, the Firm has been providing pioneering solutions to its clients.     Work Highlights:
    Amongst other relevant clients over the past years, the firm represented “MANGELS” (automotive industry), “LBR GROUP” (dairy products), “GEP” (fashion retailer), URBPLAN (real estate), “COTIA TRADING” (international trading) and “EDITORA ABRIL” (publishers, distributors and online media) in their Judicial Reorganizations. The firm also represented GRADIENTE (electronics) in their extrajudicial reorganization, one of the first relevant cases in Brazil in this area. In 2020 and 2021, amongst others, the firm represented, SABO (autoparts), TECSIS – SOROSISTEM(blade manufacturer for wind power plants), PIRES DO RIO (steel industry), BARDELLA (industry manufacturer) and CREME MEL/ZECA´S (food industry) in their judicial reorganizations. The firm also represented AMBAR, as a creditor, in the judicial reorganizations of ARGON e NEWEN.

Former President (1995/1996) and member of the Association of Lawyers of São Paulo-AASP. Founding Member and member of the Executive Board of the TMA - Turnaround Management Association Brazil, Member of Brazilian Institute of Corporate Restructuring Studies (IBR), Guest Professor on restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy matters in several public and private entities.

    Walter Vieira Filho:
    Managing Partner. Part of the firm since 1995. Graduated at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo Law School in 1996. Post-graduated in Civil Lawsuit at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo Law School in 2008. Member of the Association of Lawyers of São Paulo (AASP).
