The firm routinely deals with personal injury claims and admiralty actions such as ship arrest, collisions, salvage and cargo claims.

Consistent with Mackinnons’ ethos of having dedicated expertise in niche areas, the employment team has a particular focus on shipping and marine law generally. The marine employment team routinely advise on technical and complex matters such as immigration issues, territorial jurisdiction, the rights of seafarers and whistle-blowing issues within the safety critical environment of offshore work.
