Education: The team is highly respected and recognised as being very experienced in acting on behalf of parents and young people regarding the EHC Needs Assessment process and appeals to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal and Upper Tier Tribunal. Many cases also involve issues regarding school admissions, bullying, exclusions and disability discrimination.
The team deals with clinical and professional negligence cases including cases of maximum severity involving serious head injuries, spinal cord injuries and obstetrics. The partners have accreditation from the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and the team includes a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel.
The department has a leading reputation for advice on all aspects of personal relationships including divorce and separation, financial provision, pre-nuptial agreements, children, care proceedings, and domestic violence. The team are Law Society accredited specialists.
The team deal with property development and landlord and tenant matters as well as acquisitions and disposals.
The team consists of highly experienced practitioners including a member of STEP. It covers estate planning, wills, trusts, administration of estates, court of protection, contentious probate, inheritance act claims, powers of attorney, advanced decisions and a range of advice about older and vulnerable clients’ affairs.
In relation to probate matters, the firm handles UK inheritance claims, will validity disputes (including issues of testamentary capacity and undue influence), and professional negligence claims involving estate administration mismanagement.
