THE FIRM

The firm is a niche practice of specialist family lawyers. It provides a dedicated and cost effective service in all aspects of family law, including divorce, financial separation and parenting disputes. The firm’s lawyers have strength and experience at all levels, from the most modest cases to those with substantial and complex assets.

The practice was founded in 2010 by Lisa Jones and Claire Nickolds. It is an energetic and dynamic firm that provides a central London quality without London prices. The practice has grown rapidly, and there are now seven partners and fifteen other solicitors.

All clients receive the dedicated personal service of an experienced family law expert who will provide clear and realistic advice. Whilst always safeguarding clients’ interests, the practice is mindful that the most successful outcomes are usually those agreed between couples rather than imposed by a court. The firm offers each client a tailor-made approach for each client's particular circumstances. Every matter is dealt with in a professional, constructive and civilised way.

PRINCIPAL AREAS OF WORK

The firm offers expertise in all aspects of divorce and its financial consequences including court orders, international issues, civil partnerships, disputes between co-habitees, pension issues and enforcement and variation of court orders. The majority of their work is mid to high net worth divorce cases. It also does a significant amount of Children Act work. As the practice has developed and become established it increasingly attracts complex cases, often in the High Court and involving international assets.

Clients primarily live in London or the southeast, although a growing number are based elsewhere. The firm is skilled at highly-contested litigation, but is also very much at the forefront of alternative dispute resolution. Three of the partners are collaboratively trained. Rachel Woodd, Claire Nickolds and Mai-Ling Ho are also mediators.
