Gutiérrez, Waugh, Jimeno & Asenjo was founded in 2006. Its four founding partners came from Chilean biggest law firms were they had created and developed the dispute resolution departments. Since then, it has become one of the leading firm in dispute resolution (top 1 in many rankings). The firm has been involved in most of the major cases in Chile in the last decade. It is a boutique firm that normally represents relevant players in each industry (construction, energy, mining, banking, financial, insurance, retail, etc.) across different adversarial procedures (arbitration, litigation, bankruptcy procedures, etc.).
