It all started as an idea on the back of a napkin in 1994 when five El Paso-area attorneys came together with a common idea, to leave the convention of a big law firm and start a high quality business boutique law firm that allowed the firm to focus on client satisfaction. With the advent of the internet - giving attorneys instant access to large law libraries and other critical information - the opportunity was there and the timing was right. Originally located off Viscount in East El Paso, with no furniture, limited space and computers hooked up to extension cords to prevent tripped breakers, the firm's founding partners laid the groundwork for the successful law firm today.. Over the next few years, the firm added new partners and associates and expanded its practice areas to meet demand and better serve clients. By 1998, the firm had outgrown the Viscount location and moved to it’s current location on Mesa, in West El Paso. Since then, the firm has expanded practice areas and added more attorneys while continuing to serve clients and maintain a commitment to its core values of trust, integrity, respect, accountability, dedication, and excellence. In August 2010, the firm became Gordon Davis Johnson & Shane P.C. and opened a larger wing of the current office, increasing the firm’s attorneys to the 16 practicing today.
