Securities Litigation

CMB has successfully represented clients in some of the most significant securities law cases in Canada. CMB’s lawyers regularly appear as counsel to respondents in investigations and enforcement proceedings brought by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) and other provincial securities commissions, the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA). CMB also has significant experience with cross-border investigations involving the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and other US regulators and law enforcement agencies.

CMB also acts for investors, companies, directors, officers, securities dealers, advisors and other capital market participants in a wide range of securities class actions brought in provinces across the country.
