Defeated attempt to certify as a class action the environmental claims lawsuit filed against Forest City Residential Management, Inc. and Ohana Military Communities, LLC. Creatively prosecuted County of Maui’s investor claims, resulting in the full and swift repayment of $32 million from the broker-dealer defendant.

Aviation Litigation:  

3 partners; 6 fee earners based in Hawaii

Full defense jury verdict in favor of Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. and its flight attendant involved in an alleged act of negligence in the airport terminal. Defeated passenger claim against Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. involving an alleged act of negligence in the jetway, resulting in no finding of fault on the part of the airline and no compensation paid.

White Collar Defense & Investigation:

Obtained full dismissal of federal felony charges on eve of trial of State law enforcement officer charged with federal firearms offenses. On the eve of trial, and after four years of investigation and litigation involving allegations of false statements and Clean Water Act violations, obtained dismissal of all felony federal charges against general manager and vice president of subsidiary of a Fortune 250 company.
