CTP’s Corporate/ M&A department is best known for representation of clients from various parts of the world in their global activities in corporate and M&A transactions. Our clients include corporations with activities in different sectors of the economy (financial services, construction, pharmaceutical, energy, telecom, oil and gas, technology, trade, and others), commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, investment funds, international emerging and closely held companies, not-for-profit organizations, and individuals.

Our deal teams are generally lean, and with a concentration on senior professionals – senior partners, partners, counsel and senior associates, a stark difference from what is generally seen in the legal market. This seniority in deal teams allows for quicker resolution of issues, faster risk mitigation, speedier transactions, and lower cost overall.

The department is best known for a very senior representation of its clients, in lean and dedicated teams. Many team members have studied and worked abroad and are recognized in their communication skills and proactiveness. Clients praise CTP professionals as highly motivated and dedicated, creative and aggressive when needed. And the fact that the teams are heavy on senior professionals is a characteristic that is appreciated by the clients.

The Firm staffs its deals or disputes with a heavy top, in the sense that there is often a disproportionate number of partners allocated to a single transaction of dispute. If at first this “top-heavy” approach raises eyebrows with some clients (who are concerned about the cost that such increased number of partners may bring to a transaction or dispute), this approach is easily accepted by the clients once it becomes clear that there is no increase in cost, as matters are resolved faster and with high-quality work by partners who are experienced in the matters at hand.

In addition, professionals at the Firm have a diverse background of experience, and many have worked (as lawyers or otherwise) in operating companies in the same field activity of the client, a situation that brings to the table of negotiation, or to the tribunals (as the case may be), professionals with hands on experience on the subject matter that is being discussed.
