Despite the firm’s boutique size, our specialty Workplace Safety Practice features a deep bench of true OSHA-specialist attorneys with extensive, hands-on experience in all aspects of OSHA law at both the federal and state levels, who can provide the full range of occupational safety and health law services to a diverse range of clients, from representing employers in inspections, investigations and enforcement actions involving OSHA and State OSH Plans, to handling all aspects of OSHA litigation, from appeals of citations to criminal prosecutions.

CMC was born out of many years’ experience at large national law firms. Through our time at these “Big Law” firms, we developed an understanding of the quality of client service employers expect from sophisticated law firms, but also the challenges of delivering that level of service at good value, especially in the context of an OSHA practice. What also sets us apart is that we know our clients’ businesses and industries well, and we know how the relevant agencies work equally well, which positions us to recognize emerging OSHA legal and regulatory challenges our clients will face before they know it. Our reputation is based on more than 150 years of collective experience providing advice and counsel to employers through the development and enhancement of their safety and health programs, navigating new safety and health issues, government inspections, enforcement actions, and compliance audits.

Our OSHA practice is also truly national in scope. Our principal office is in DC, so we can maintain close ties with the leadership in federal OSHA’s national office, but we have practiced extensively before every federal OSHA Regional Office and every approved State OSH Plan, out of our offices in California, Chicago, Columbus, OH, and Detroit, MI.
