Condon & Forsyth has unmatched experience and expertise in the representation of airlines, aerospace manufacturers and their insurers in litigation throughout the United States. The firm’s partners are best known for their defense of aviation clients in litigation arising from major losses, such as Lion Air Flight 610 near Jakarta, Indonesia in October 2018; Asiana Airlines Flight 214 in San Francisco, California in July 2013; Caribbean Airlines Flight 523 in Georgetown, Guyana in July 2011; the September 11th terrorist attacks; and Colgan Air Flight 3407 near Buffalo, New York in February 2009. The firm has significant trial success with favorable verdicts in the Southern District of Florida involving a failure to divert claim during a medical emergency and a passenger severely injured during turbulence, as well as in the Central District of California involving a multimillion dollar litigation between an airline and a global ticket distributor. A trial team of partners and associates defended ColganAir in a six week damages trial arising from the Colgan Air Flight 3407 litigation.
The firm’s product liability attorneys represent and advise a diverse range of manufacturers in complex tort litigation, including manufacturers of commercial and general aviation aircraft and components, industrial machinery, satellites, power plant and pharmaceutical products. The firm has advised manufacturers about proposed airworthiness directives and product recalls; revising aircraft operators’ manuals, instructions and warnings; drafting service bulletins and service information; and organizing pilot and operator seminars.

The firm assists transportation-related companies worldwide to mitigate and manage the investigative, legal and publicity matters resulting from mass disasters and crisis situations. Insurance & Reinsurance:
Condon & Forsyth has an international reputation as counsel for insurers and reinsurers. Certain partners specialize in this area and provide coverage opinions, draft policy language and litigate or arbitrate complex insurance and reinsurance coverage matters.
