Post-Grant Proceedings at the PTAB:
Brinks has significant experience in administrative proceedings before the PTAB, including re-examinations, interferences, and the proceedings created by the AIA including inter partes reviews (‘IPR’) and Covered Business Method patent reviews (‘CBM’). Although IPRs and CBMs have only been available for a few years, Brinks has jumped to the forefront of these types of proceedings and has served as lead counsel in over 90 cases before the PTAB and several subsequent appeals to the Federal Circuit.

Trademarks & Unfair Competition:
Brinks has one of the largest and most experienced groups of attorneys focused primarily on trademark law. Group members regularly represent the firm’s clients in U.S. District Courts, Courts of Appeals, the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, coordinate strategies and litigation to resolve global trademark disputes, secure trademark protection for traditional and non-traditional marks and conduct global trademark clearances for its clients’ brands.
