MAIN AREAS OF PRACTICE:

Private Client
Brewin Dolphin works directly with thousands of individuals and families to provide wealth management advice helping them to maximise opportunities to safeguard and grow their wealth.

No matter what service clients choose, Brewin Dolphin’s wealth managers focus on understanding the client’s goals and aspirations. Whether the client wishes to retire early or wants to ensure their wealth is passed on to future generations, Brewin Dolphin listens to the needs of the client and provides advice focusing on what is most important to them.

Professional Services
Over the last 30 years, Brewin Dolphin has developed specialist expertise through working closely with around 300 law and accountancy firms to offer specialist wealth management solutions to their underlying clients. Collectively, over 3,000 private clients have been referred to our wealth managers by solicitors and accountants and Brewin Dolphin continues to work closely with both clients and their advisers.

Brewin Dolphin believes it can add most value by being involved early in client matters. Knowledge is essential and its wealth advisers take pride in learning about the technical overlap between wealth management and the following specialisms:
■ Private client trusts and estates
■ Court of Protection/Personal Injury
■ Family and divorce
■ Company exits
■ Partnerships

Charities
Brewin Dolphin has been managing investments for charities, trusts, private clients and pension schemes for generations and manages more than £3.4 billion* specifically for UK charities.

With generations of experience in helping charities to achieve their financial objectives Brewin Dolphin’s Charity Team has the knowledge and understanding to assist charities with the administrative, regulatory and reporting requirements surrounding the management of assets.

Running a successful charity requires prudent financial management, including the appointment of the appropriate providers of financial services. Demand for charitable support combined with changing economic and market conditions have required many charity trustees to look at their finances and review the role and management of their investments.

Financial Advisers (IFAs)
Brewin Dolphin’s business development team covers 30 offices around the UK and supports over 1,700 intermediary firms and their clients, ranging from large national firms to sole traders.

Brewin Dolphin provides two core services to financial advisers, a Discretionary Fund Management (DFM) service and the Managed Portfolio Service (MPS). Each has its own distinct characteristics and benefits, enabling intermediaries to choose an investment solution that most closely matches the underlying client’s goals, ambitions and attitude to risk.

• Discretionary Fund Management (DFM) – is a bespoke discretionary service offering a solution tailored to the client’s unique priorities. Intermediaries and their clients will benefit from the services of a dedicated Brewin Dolphin investment manager.
• Managed Portfolio Service (MPS) – is designed exclusively for the IFA marketplace, a solution for clients for whom a bespoke service may not be necessary or cost effective. MPS offers access to the best fund managers selected by Brewin Dolphin’s award-winning research team. IFAs and their underlying clients can invest via a range of managed portfolios on carefully selected platform providers.
