Brewer operates an offshore LPO in India, whichprovides professional support at a fraction of domestic costand an array of professionals devoted to business consulting, investigations, and public relations. These resources create a blend of expertise that enables the Firm to successfully navigate the most complex matters.
Long an advocate for results-based billing — alternatives that align the interests of advocates with those of their clients — the Firm encourages potential clients to explore alternatives to its hourly charges. The Firm has offices in New York and Dallas.
High-Stakes Advocacy in Action
Brewer's track record of prevailing in complex disputes includes matters in New York courts. In 2013, the Firm represented 3M in trial proceedings related to an $854 million sale of its European pharmaceutical business to global pharmaceutical company Meda AB. Seeking more than $300 million, Meda AB alleged fraud and breach of contract related to disclosures by 3M prior to the sale. After a nine-day bench trial in the Southern District of New York, the Court ruled entirely in 3M's favor, rejecting every claim.
Recently, the Firm concluded a multi-year defense of the nation’s oldest civil rights organization, defeating efforts by the New York Attorney General to dissolve it. Our work also helped secure a unanimous 9-0 victory before the U.S. Supreme Court in the landmark Vullo case, which is one of the most important First Amendment rulings in decades.
Today, Brewer continues to represent clients in cutting-edge litigation across industries and jurisdictions. Our ongoing challenge to government overreach in the New York State’s implementation of the Even Year Election Law (Senate Bill number S3505B) underscores our mission: to defend the constitutional principles that safeguard free-speech and the rule of law.
