Advocates and solicitors since 1883 Braddell Brothers LLP is Singapore’s second-oldest independent law practice, founded in 1883 by two Irish gentlemen, Sir Thomas de Multon Lee Braddell and Robert Wallace Glen Lee Braddell, the sons of the first Attorney-General of Singapore.

SIAC & ICC Arbitrations Our counsel frequently represent clients in international arbitration proceedings seated in Singapore and other jurisdictions in the Asia-Pacific region, most frequently under the SIAC and ICC Rules.Between our Partners, we have handled - as counsel - over 100 cases filed under the SIAC Rules.Our firm recently filed the first two cases under the SIAC Rules 2025 which came into effect on 1 January 2025, against a government entity of an ASEAN-member State.

Arbitrator Experience Our Managing Partner, Edmund Kronenburg, also actively sits as an Arbitrator, and has conducted arbitrations seated in Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia and Vietnam, as Sole Arbitrator, Tribunal Chairman / Presiding Arbitrator and Tribunal Member.He is a Fellow of the CIArb, SIArb, MIArb, AMINZ, HKIArb, PIArb and ACICA.He has been appointed as sole arbitrator / co-arbitrator by the SIAC in no less than 10 international arbitrations.He is also admitted to the panels / lists of (amongst others) the AIAC (Malaysia, formerly KLCRA), AIFC (Kazakhstan), BANI (Indonesia), BDAC (Brunei), BVI-IAC (British Virgin Islands), CAA (Taiwan), HKIAC (Hong Kong), KCAB (Korea), IIAM (India), NCAC (Cambodia), PIAC (Vietnam), PDRC (Philippines), IMA (Russia), SCCA (Saudi Arabia), SHIAC (Shanghai), TAI (Thailand), VIAC (Vietnam) and VLCAC (Vietnam).

Dispute Resolution Drafting In a non-contentious setting, we assist clients in the negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts with a view to protecting them against potential future disputes. We also offer specialist advice on tailor-made dispute resolution mechanisms and clauses e.g. arbitration and mediation provisions, in the event that a dispute cannot be avoided.
