It provides continuous support on takeovers and the planning and execution of corporate operations such as shareholders agreements, voting agreements, acquisition of corporate majority and minority positions, due diligences and assists in joint-venture operations.

Tax: The firm has a broad experience in the tax law field acting as a legal adviser, whilst helping companies and individuals to better understand the regulations, to apply them properly and in time to get the best tax effectiveness. Beside tax consultancy, tax litigation has been, and still is, one of the firm’s strengths and key areas.

Labour & Social Security: The firm has extensive experience with assisting companies and individuals, both in a consultancy and litigation capacity. The firm covers all areas pertaining to labour relations, such as in the preparation of various types of labour contracts, termination agreements, internal regulation, disciplinary proceedings, contacts with labour authorities, restructuring of undertaking, collective dismissals, and redundancies, beside the assistance of employers, or handling directly with the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements or on labour restructuration issues. The firm has also considerable experience and track-record in pre-litigation and litigation.

Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare: The firm acts on a regular basis as legal adviser to some of the major national, and international pharmaceutical companies acting in Portugal. This includes advising on production, distribution and licensing agreements, assisting on medical devices and cosmetics, pricing, advertising, and promotion of sales topics.

It helps clients resolve and prevent disputes as well as preparing and developing argumentation before arbitration.
