August Tax Law, P.C. is a boutique tax law firm that is asked to advise clients on US domestic and international tax laws, including tax controversies and litigation. Jerald David August has, for many years, earned a national reputation in the field of US federal taxation from in the practice of law and as further recognized from his extensive writings in taxation, including Corporate Taxation (WG&L) ,where he serves as Editor-in-Chief and Columnist on Cross-Border Developments. He has served on the Board of Advisors of the New York Federal Institute of Taxation for many years and has Chaired the Annual Institute on Federal Taxation several times. He is also a Life Sustaining Member of the prestigious American Law Institute and has chaired numerous tax law presentations for ALI-CLE.

Mr. August has served as chair and co-chair of the tax law departments of two Am Law 200 law firms and as a partner in both national and regional tax law firms and in a tax litigation boutique. He announced the opening of August Tax Law, P.C., located in Blue Bell, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia located near Valley Forge, PA on July 1, 2024.Mr. August is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (B.S. Finance, B.A. Political Science, 1974); the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D., 1977) and New York University School of Law (LL.M. in Taxation, 1980).
