■ Advising a European bank in connection with the conclusion of Dual Currency Option Deposit Transactions (DCOD) with the Algerian Central Bank
■ Advising several Moroccan banks to structure instruments (TRS, CLN, etc.) to calibrate their regulatory capital
■ Advising Société Générale in connection with the first-ever issuance of Certificats de Dépôts Structurés in Morocco linked to TRS

Dispute Resolution & International Arbitration:
■ Representing Lundin, a leading independent petroleum operator, in an ICSID arbitration against Tunisia in relation to its investments
■ Representing Gécamines on the resolution of its dispute with the Jinchuan group, majority shareholder of their copper and cobalt mine joint-venture Ruashi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
■ Representing a Panamanian company in ICC arbitration proceedings in Paris, in the annulment proceedings before the International Chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal and in the enforcement proceedings in Dubai against its co-shareholder (a state-owned company) in a telecommunications holding company in the Republic of Guinea
■ Representing a UAE company in ICC arbitration proceedings in Paris relating to a joint venture in Gabon
■ Representing US and other companies in judicial and arbitral proceedings in numerous forums (Chadian national courts, litigation before the CCJA, and CCJA arbitration in Libreville) against African banks relating to loan agreements
■ Representing the Republic of Gabon in its dispute against the Republic of Equatorial Guinea relating to sovereignty over the M'Banié Islands and the delimitation of the maritime boundary between the two States
■ Advising and representing the Republic of Madagascar in an ICSID Arbitration proceeding against two Mauritian companies regarding a litigation on a telecommunications license .

Project Development & PPP:
■ Advising the DRC Government on the development of the Inga 3 hydroelectric dam, the first phase of the “Grand Inga” continental project, expected to be the largest hydroelectric dam in the world at 40,000 MW of capacity
■ Advising the public company in charge of urban transport in Casablanca in all stages of the tramway and BRT network project
■ Advising Gécamines, the DRC state-owned mining company, on the restructuring and renegotiation of the agreements entered into with the Glencore group in relation to the Kamoto copper and cobalt mine
■ Advising the sponsors led by EDF on the 46 MW Biovéa biomass concession in Côte d’Ivoire
■ Advising the Republic of Guinea on the review, renegotiation and restructuring of the Simandou-South iron ore project, one of the largest and most complex potential mining projects in the world
■ Advising KenGen on a proposed drilling services contract between KenGen and TM Geothermal Operations PLC in Ethiopia
■ Advising STOA (international investment vehicle (subsidiary company of the Caisse des dépôts et Consignations)) and QAIR (developer) as part of the conception, the construction, the operation and the maintenance (through a PPP contract) of two solar plants located in Burkina Faso
■ Advising MIFERSO, the Company of the Iron Mines of Eastern Senegal, as part of the Mining Project of Falémé. Assistance at every stagesstage of the Project structuration: audit, financial and legal structuring, negotiation of the contracts of the Project .

Project Finance:
■ Advising sponsors Globeleq and IPS West Africa and the project company on the “Phase IV” 250MW expansion of the gas fired Azito independent power plant in Côte d’Ivoire involving finance from a pool of 9 development finance institutions including IFC, AfDB, EAIF, OFID and Proparco
■ Advising AfDB, EAIF and OFID on a 120MW dual fuel independent power plant in Senegal
■ Advising the sponsors on the financing of a 1 million tons p.a cement grinding/1 million cubic meters readymixed concrete production facility near Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire, financed by DEG and Proparco
■ Advising the lenders to a mini grid programme in DRC covering 3 towns in remote locations.
■ Advising Entreprise Générale du Cobalt (EGC), the DRC’s artisanal cobalt state buyer, in the signing of trading arrangements with Trafigura Pte Ltd
■ Advising the Facility for Energy Inclusion Off-Grid Energy Access Fund (“FEI OGEF”), a debt fund managed by Lion’s Head Global Partners (LHGP) on its debt financing for Bboxx in the DRC
■ Advising on the financing of the 120 MW heavy fuel oil (HFO) power plant developed in Malicounda (Senegal) to be financed by a pool of DFIs led by the African Development Bank
