Simon Christian, Editor - High Net Worth, Chambers and Partners
Simon was a researcher and later a deputy editor on the Chambers UK team, before becoming editor of the Chambers High Net Worth guide. He has an LLB in Laws from University College London. He also studied for the BPTC at City Law School and was Called to the Bar at Middle Temple.

He has considerable experience in the assistance in the pre-litigation phase such as in tax regularization procedures, tax audits and tax dispute resolutions matters including tax settlements, mutual assistance and arbitration procedures. He is also retained by banks and family offices for generational planning, lifetime asset transfers and ownership structures, transfer of residence to or from Italy, having developed wide-spanning expertise in the area.
Guglielmo Maisto, Partner, Maisto e Associati
Founder of Maisto e Associati, he is Professor (Professore associato) of International Tax Law at The Catholic University of Piacenza. He is President of the Italian Branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), member of the Board of Trustees of the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) in Amsterdam and of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy. He sits on numerous committees, including the OECD Business Industry Advisory Committee in Paris. He acted as a consultant to the Ministry for European Community Affairs and was a member of EU Joint Transfer Pricing Forum. Frequent speaker at conferences. Sits on the editorial boards of various Italian and foreign tax and legal journals.
Joanna Caen, LLM (Hons), TEP Managing Director PraxisIFM Nerine (Hong Kong) Limited
Joanna is a qualified solicitor in New Zealand and Hong Kong. She practiced for 13 years and was previously a partner for international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills. In July 2020 she made the career jump to be our managing director in Hong Kong. Joanna has spent her entire career helping clients protect and grow their assets, whether through on or offshore corporate, trust or foundation structures. She also has experience and expertise in pre-IPO planning, pension and other retirement planning, and philanthropy. Acting for individuals, families, single and multi-family offices, and intermediaries looking to assist their clients, Joanna is familiar with most Asian jurisdictions, as well as those further afield which are also of interest to her clients including the USA, Canada, UK, Europe and United Arab Emirates. Joanna is presently Deputy Chair of the Society of Trust and Estate Planning in Hong Kong.
