Overview

OUR REPUTATION

Our team consists of energy and infrastructure specialists with considerable experience in the Serbian regulatory landscape.

OUR CASES

We advise some of the largest oil and gas companies on an ongoing basis and provide day-to-day support. Our team is at the forefront of the emergence and expansion of renewables, such as wind, solar, hydro and biomass. We have advised clients on many large infrastructure investments. We still advise the private partner in one of the few PPP projects in Serbia. Since the beginning of this Waste to Energy ("WtE") PPP Project in 2015, our team has advised Suez Groupe and I-Environment Investments Ltd (an Itochu company) in the project for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of WtE facilities in Belgrade financed by three IFIs – the EBRD, the IFC, and the OeEB. The combined industry know-how, synergies through the teamwork with non-legal specialists, and professionalism of our legal team contributed to the successful commercial closing of this EUR 300 million project in 2019 and the successful financial closing in May 2020.

OUR ROLE

We often assist foreign clients investing into Serbia in taking advantage of the favourable incentives and subsidies. In this context, we have advised a number of foreign clients in connection with wind farm projects in Serbia. Our Energy team also provides all-around legal advice to many local subsidiaries of multinationals in the energy sector.
