Overview

Wolf Theiss offers legal services for the comprehensive protection of IP rights in physical and virtual environments. Our team works on complex cases and high-end matters for multinational corporations and highly specialised companies in Austria and across our other 12 offices in the CEE/SEE region.

We have extensive experience in IP litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, design rights and unfair competition, as well as in the protection of know-how and trade secrets. We also advise on IP strategy, including dealing with related aspects of M&A transactions and assisting with transfer and licensing agreements.

In addition to traditional IP work our team advises on outsourcing, new media, cloud computing, software, e-commerce, domains and licenses. Our data protection work covers multiple areas, including implementation of and compliance with GDPR and other local data protection laws, data management, information security and data breaches, data protection litigation and regulatory investigations.
