Williams Mullen’s Labor, Employment & Immigration (LEI) Section is a nationwide practice that provides advice to public and private employers of all sizes on human resources issues and assists them in minimizing liability and complying with applicable laws and regulations. Our attorneys represent management in all areas of employment law and employment litigation before administrative agencies, arbitrators, and in state and federal courts across the U.S. LEI section attorneys also maintain a strong focus on traditional labor law, representing employers facing threats of unionization, as well as employers dealing with the challenges of organized workforces. Our labor services include developing strategies to maintain union-free workplaces, providing advice in the course of initial organizing and decertification election campaigns, defending companies charged with committing unfair labor practices, negotiating collective bargaining agreements and arbitrating grievances arising under those agreements. The section attorneys partner with attorneys across all practice areas to cover a wide scope of matters beyond traditional labor, employment and immigration issues, including trade secrets, foreign direct investment, and human resources training, compliance and counseling.
