Debt Capital Markets:

Our team has extensive experience in the debt capital markets field and regularly advises arrangers, dealers, corporate issuers, parastatals and rating agencies on bond issues, domestic medium-term note programmes and high-yield bonds, also advising local banks in respect of their European note programmes. In the securitisation field, only a small number of synthetic securitisations have been undertaken in South Africa; all of them involving our banking & finance lawyers.

Equity Capital Markets:

Werksmans has a long and illustrious track record in relation to ECM transactions relating to both domestic and foreign entities which are listed or seek to list in South Africa. 

Werksmans provides an all-encompassing suite of services covering all areas of Equity Capital Market transactions. Such services include, but are not limited to, listings (whether primary or secondary), rights issues, SPAC listings, off-market disposals, category acquisitions and disposals, schemes of arrangements and general corporate actions undertaken by listed entities from time to time.
