Waselius´ Tax department renders advice primarily in all areas of domestic and international business taxation, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings as well as other financial transactions. Many of our assignments have an international dimension. Our tax team provides strategic tax advice early on in the transactional process, whether domestic or cross-border in nature, to ensure efficient tax structures. In addition to our involvement in the structuring of transactions, we advise on the documentation to implement transactions.

Our tax team also has substantial experience in assisting clients in administrative proceedings on taxation issues. We have a well established tax dispute resolution practice and have successfully represented clients in a wide range of disputes with the tax authorities.

We have recently represented: 

• a number of non-Finnish entities with the tax structuring of their Finnish investments
• a number of international entities in their implementation of employee incentive schemes
• a number of international financial institutions with tax issues in relation to the issuance of equity, debt and hybrid securities and other derivative instruments
• a number of corporate entities with tax disputes
