Verri Paiva is a firm specialized in Environmental Law, founded in 2020 by its partners Heloisa Verri Paulino Gomes and Adriana de Paiva Correa, who have more than two decades of recognized experience in the area. Prior to the decision to start their own law firm, both partners worked in the environmental teams of the largest law firms in São Paulo, in the most varied economic sectors, developing a solid partnership since 2007. Verri Paiva seeks to provide its services in a personal and objective manner, combining the knowledge and experience of its partners with the practical needs and particularities of its clients and partners. Main work:

• Critical due diligence: with the aggregated experience of their partners, Verri Paiva has certainly one of the strongest environmental due diligence practices in Brazil and regularly participates in operations with a high potential for environmental impact and liabilities, such as mining, energy, industrial and forestry companies.
• Administrative + judicial litigation: Verri Paiva also represents clients on judicial and administrative proceedings, achieving a historical fact aiming to judicially cancel an administrative fine in the updated amount of R$50 million. ·
• Critical environmental issues: Verri Paiva advises on environmental regulatory, and we have extensive experience with critical issues such as contaminated areas, forest code, environmental liabilities, ESG, solid waste, environmental licensing, biodiversity and pesticides.
