Given the ever-evolving nature of technology, our Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice is dynamic and we have a good grasp of the various issues that affect our clients in the industry.

We have vast experience in providing regulatory advice on various trending telecommunications issues such as over-the-top (OTT) service offerings, establishment of data centres for cloud computing services and leasing of sub-sea and terrestrial fibers. We also advise clients on regulatory compliance queries and assist them in obtaining regulatory approvals and licences, such as spectrum assignments and telecommunications licences from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

Due to the team’s strong foundation in the law and its experience in dealing with the regulators, we are also called upon for advice and consultation related to changes and reforms in technology and telecommunications related laws. 

Our TMT disputes team, led by Khoo Guan Huat, is adept in handling TMT disputes both in court and through arbitration.
