Chancery

The litigation group in the Wilmington office concentrates on civil litigation at the trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts around the country, with a strong emphasis on Delaware’s renowned Court of Chancery. Wilmington litigators are experienced in a broad range of corporate and securities litigation, including the defense of class and derivative actions, representation of special committees, fiduciary duties of directors, federal and state securities fraud claims, bankruptcy litigation, corporate valuations and statutory appraisals, and insurance acquisition transactions from a litigation as well as regulatory standpoint. Wilmington litigators also have handled many cases outside Delaware, including recent cases in Alabama, Connecticut, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
