Overview

    Poul Schmith is a clear market leader in dispute resolution. The firm fields the largest dispute resolution team in Denmark with over 250 lawyers and 43 partners. Poul Schmith is also by far the largest practice in terms of cases – the firm is frequently instructed in a considerable number of national and international arbitrations before established institutions tribunals and ad hoc panels. We have more than 3,000 pending cases per year. We obtain approximately 1,700 judgments and arbitration awards per year and secure settlements in a significant number of cases. We handle approximately 50 cases before the Danish Supreme Court each year, which is significantly more than any other law firm in Denmark.

    Historically, Poul Schmith is best known recognized for its position since 1936 as the preferred counsel legal advisor to the Danish government since 1936.
