About

Provided by Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP

Morgan Lewis’s New Jersey environmental team represents clients on environmental remediation matters and natural resource damage (NRD) assessments under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the New Jersey Spill Act. The team also represents clients in matters involving other laws and regulations governing the remediation of contaminated sites and the protection of natural resources that often arise at contaminated sites. Our lawyers are experienced in successfully litigating claims involving cost recovery and natural resource damages claims under the New Jersey Spill Act and the New Jersey Water Pollution Control Act, as well as associated public nuisance and trespass claims.

We also assist energy, manufacturing, and on-line retail industry clients in obtaining necessary permits and approvals to develop facilities and support their operations. We work with clients on natural gas-fired power plants, nuclear power plants, mines, and wind and solar projects to obtain the regulatory approval required for them to operate in compliance with all applicable environmental laws.
