Our Environmental practice group is particularly well known for its defense capabilities in collective judicial proceedings and enforcement actions by environmental authorities, social organizations or individuals under the Federal Environmental Liability Act, as well as environmental crimes investigations and proceedings initiated by federal and state prosecutors. Our expertise includes administrative, class action and criminal litigation and defense in corporate liability matters associated to environmental harm and conflicts.
Our team specializes in the solution of environmental conflicts through alternative and restorative justice in cases of industrial accidents, pollution and toxic torts, damage caused by real estate and infrastructure projects.
Members of our Environmental team have a wealth of experience in both public and private sectors. The Head of the team acted as General Counsel in Mexico’s Federal Bureau for the Protection of the Environment .
