Lydian’s Finance Practice, led by Partner Pieter-Jan Leemen, advises Belgian and international clients on a wide range of financing transactions, both domestic and cross-border.

We have particular expertise in project finance, including energy and infrastructure transactions, real estate finance and in (leveraged) acquisition finance, acting on both the sponsor and lender side. Our experience also covers asset-based lending and green and sustainability-linked products.

We regularly assist clients with debt restructuring and turnaround situations, providing practical guidance and commercial solutions at each stage of the process. Our team works closely with colleagues from other practices – including real estate, environment & energy, public and administrative law, and corporate M&A – to deliver integrated support across the full lifecycle of a transaction.

We represent a broad spectrum of international and domestic banks, financial institutions, and investment funds in their roles as arrangers, lenders, agents, trustees and investors. We also advise private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers and issuers on all components of finance deals.
