Our skilful and knowledgeable Insurance and Dispute Resolution Group has a 15-strong team of experienced qualified solicitors, who have day-to-day, hands-on experience meeting the needs of our clients in the insurance industry. 

Our insurance offering comprises a diverse range of services from claims-handling, where claims are made against insured businesses, professionals and individuals, to providing advice on policy interpretation and acting in related coverage disputes.

Handling claims against professionals (such as solicitors, architects, engineers, valuers, insurance brokers, accountants and company directors) and other businesses is an important focal point for our team.

Our primary objective in all professional indemnity and insurance claims is to provide our clients with the most economic outcome possible. This is achieved by providing our insurer clients with early risk-assessment and coverage reports. In cases where the insurer is obliged to provide cover to an insured party and we believe that the insured party is liable to the claimant, we have repeatedly demonstrated our ability to strategically compromise claims using mediation and other dispute resolution mechanisms, as well as making use of available court procedures such as lodgments (payments into court), tenders and Calderbank offers as appropriate.
