The Banking & Finance Department has more than 45 lawyers with in-depth expertise regarding every aspect of finance and banking law. They are constantly advising domestic and international leading banks and financial institutions, investment funds, national and international companies, as well as numerous public-sector entities.
The Department is headed by Senior Partner Andrea Giannelli, and is composed of professionals with extensive experience combined with multidisciplinary skills, able to assist the client in a complete and personalised way.
Their work covers a wide range of areas including: leveraged finance, acquisition finance, mezzanine financing, real estate financing, syndicated loans, bond and other debt securities issues, securitisation of performing and non-performing loans of different types of asset classes, covered bonds, debt restructuring, PIK structures, derivatives, securities lending transactions and other structured products.
In this regard, all aspects of the preparation and negotiation of contractual documents are also dealt with.
Over the years, the team has advised on a large number of transactions, often among the most innovative in the market.
