LatamLex Nicaragua was established in 2011 by Alvaro Alonso Caldera Portocarrero and Ana Patricia Carrión Lacayo, two enterprising lawyers who served  at two of the country´s most recognized law firms and worked for more than six (6) years as leaders in the Legal Department of a prestigious financial institution, found an opportunity in the Nicaraguan market to establish a Law Firm through which they could put their knowledge and professional experiences at the service of business firms, offering high quality standards and based on the ethical and moral principles and values that characterize them.

As the Firm´s portfolio of clients’ increased, new Partners and Associates were incorporated in order to continue to offer personalized high quality legal services and to include in the Firm´s areas of practice other services as demanded by the clients and the market itself.

Being aware of the globalization of businesses and of the obligation to serve its clients beyond the borders, in November 2014 Directum-Abogados joined LatamLex, a regional law firm formed by well-known firms in Central America. As a result of such regionalization, Directum-Abogados becomes LatamLex Nicaragua.
