Longevity in Birmingham, nationwide reach

This year marks 10 years of Kennedys’ professional indemnity practice in Birmingham. Over that time, it has grown into a strong, capable practice that is very well regarded by clients. Whilst rooted in Birmingham, many of the matters that are handled by the team do not have a link to the Midlands and result from decisions by insurers to instruct the team based upon confidence in its abilities.

Following consolidation in the market and the departure from the stage of some firms who were players, there now remain a limited number of defendant professional indemnity practices. Kennedys is one of those few and its reputation has increased over the years. Whilst most of its insurer clients are based in EC3, the firm has developed and strengthened its commitment to the Birmingham market, whether by taking an active part in the Birmingham Insurance Institute (both at Board level and in presenting seminars), hosting events for insurers and brokers and becoming favoured advisers for some of the city’s large professional firms (such as Shakespeare Martineau LLP).

Client roster of the market’s biggest players

Kennedys’ Birmingham professional indemnity practice has an impressive client roster which includes many of the top professional indemnity insurers in the UK: AIG, Allianz, AXA XL, Chubb, Hiscox, Liberty, MS Amlin, Solicitors Indemnity Fund, Sompo and Travelers.
