The team acts across the full spectrum of business law matters, including financial services litigation, regulatory and administrative proceedings, cross-border commercial cases, shareholder conflicts, insurance and reinsurance claims, public procurement litigation, IP enforcement, and recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
Over the past year, the department has acted for multinational corporations, financial institutions and sovereign entities. Recent highlights include representing Euroins Romania in a EUR 319 million arbitration and related annulment proceedings, and advising Vivacom in multi-instance litigation concerning board liability and copyright claims.
The practice is also engaged in precedent-setting public interest matters, including pro bono proceedings concerning alleged abuses in Bulgaria’s arbitration and enforcement framework.
The team is particularly active in banking, telecommunications, energy, construction, insurance and sovereign-related matters, many of which involve regulatory or EU law components. It has substantial experience in arbitration under ICC and UNCITRAL rules, as well as before domestic institutions.
