Our PI team are regarded as national leaders and known mostly for their expertise in complex/serious injury and fatal cases. The team continues to see a significant increase in the number of fatal asbestos disease claims. The knowledge of this area of law is extensive within the department.
The team offers a holistic approach for all levels of claims, which means focusing on the client’s needs and using the claim as a vehicle to fund rehabilitation and treatments not available on the NHS in appropriate cases e.g. in mesothelioma cases. In a number of cases immunotherapy treatment has been funded in this way. IMS is able to call on the firm’s in-house Conveyancing Team and the firm’s national IM Asset Management (the firm’s wealth management company). These additional in-house services are of significant importance to clients, who have no need to go elsewhere to access a full range of legal services. We look towards improving the quality of life of every client and compensation is used to pay for rehabilitation, equipment and treatments that are not readily available through the NHS. Client feedback remains very positive with an average score of 9/10 for client satisfaction through the TrustPilot survey. We have embraced virtual meetings, whether via Teams or Zoom and that has been a major benefit to clients as it has significantly reduced the inconvenience of travelling.
