About

Provided by Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung in association with Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer

We have significant experience in advising major foreign and domestic clients on a broad range of Indonesian employment and industrial relations matters. We apply a holistic approach to advising clients in relation to their EPI activities, covering all major practice areas, including:

  • Front-end employment matters, such as preparation of employment contracts, collective labour agreements, company employment policies and work permit strategies to ensure compliance with labour laws.
  • Employment terminations, which can be complex and contentious here. We handle both large-scale redundancies and individual terminations.
  • Contentious, managing and conducting internal investigations for clients, representing them before industrial relations courts and through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as mediation and arbitration.
  • Preventative, including on-site training on anti-corruption and whistle-blower policies, discrimination & harassment, workplace behaviour and best practice in internal employment regulations.
