HSF has consistently adapted and innovated to ensure that its recruitment and resourcing models remain aligned to the needs of its clients. This has columnated in the launch of two innovative flexible legal staffing models:

  • Respond: a flexible resourcing capability designed to scale teams up and down according to client demand, whilst still maintaining the high level of quality and consistency for which HSF ALT are known. Respond works alongside the firm’s permanent full-time team during busy periods to meet urgent deadlines. Members of the team are fully trained through the firm’s legal training and professional development programme. In 2021, HSF ALT extended the Respond programme to South Africa, launching a flexibly resourced team as part of their growing offering in Johannesburg. Together with their counterparts in Belfast, Respond team members in Johannesburg form part of a regional resourcing pool – delivering on mandates for clients, as well as fulfilling clients' short-term secondment needs.
  • TeamSource: the firm's contract lawyer resourcing initiative in Australia. This resourcing pool, which comprises alumni and non-alumni lawyers working flexibly through the firm with our clients on short-term, contract or project work, has continued to grow since its inception in 2015. Our team members work across a wide variety of assignments for our clients in areas including Corporate, Banking and Finance, Energy and Construction.
