About

Provided by HAVEL & PARTNERS

HAVEL & PARTNERS has the largest and the most complex IP practice in the Czech and Slovak markets, working in close integration with H&P Patents, its dedicated patent attorney office.

With more than 25 members, the team advises on the full lifecycle of IP protection, exploitation and enforcement, covering trademarks, designs, patents, utility models, copyright, trade secrets, licensing, technology transfer, portfolio management and IP aspects of transactions. It represents clients before national and international IP offices, including EUIPO and WIPO, and in complex judicial and arbitral proceedings.

The practice also stands out for its ability to handle complex IP litigation, IP-rich transactions and multidisciplinary matters requiring close coordination with competition, consumer, regulatory, tax and transactional specialists, including work beyond the typical scope of IP boutiques.

The team also combines strategic IP advice with sophisticated portfolio management tools, enabling it to deliver commercially focused, multi-jurisdictional advice in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and internationally.

Members of the IP team regularly attend the annual INTA (International Trademark Association), ECTA (European Communities Trademark Association) and AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property) conferences. The practice is regularly recognised by Legal 500, Managing IP / IP Stars, IAM Patent, WTR 1000 and the Czech Law Firm of the Year Awards.
