Our Bankruptcy Group provides a wide range of services to corporations, individuals and partnerships dealing with distressed financial situations. We have worked on hundreds of cases under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code as well as matters arising under the other chapters and under state and federal non-bankruptcy insolvency schemes. Along with drafting and negotiating key agreements, and managing bankruptcy/restructuring processes, we know how to litigate complex bankruptcy disputes, or disputes with bankruptcy elements. Attorneys represent clients in local, state and federal courts, including appellate courts, in disputes involving receivership appointments, illegal collections, clawback claims, and preference and fraudulent transfer claims, to name a few. 

We draw upon the firm's substantial resources in commercial law, litigation, real estate, tax and business law to assist creditors and debtors in achieving their goals. This approach assures our clients the full range of legal advice and representation they are likely to need in the difficult circumstances caused by financial distress. We do not represent one type of institution or limit our work to creditors or debtors. The team is well versed in bankruptcies involving governmental entities, such as our work on behalf of the City of Chester. Prior to the filing, only 31 municipalities in the United States had filed for bankruptcy since 2001.
