Our Health Care team provides health law services, counsel and guidance throughout Florida to clients on various matters including: Complex and large transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and sales (including the sale of two health care systems), joint ventures, and financings; day-to-day operational issues, including physician and vendor contracting; and regulatory matters such as Stark and physician self-referral law, false claims, fraud and abuse, compliance, EMTALA, PPACA, HIPAA/HITECH, EHR, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, risk management, bioethics, medical staff issues, professional discipline and managed care. 

Our Health Care team applies appropriate principles of health care, reimbursement, corporate, securities and tax law to each situation and represents hospitals, physician groups, physicians, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, clinical laboratories, home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and other health care providers. For over 20 years, GrayRobinson has served as general counsel to one of the country's largest health care systems, which owns and operates 45 hospitals in ten states and 26 nursing homes in eight states. For over 30 years, we have also represented one of the largest multi-specialty physician groups in Florida. We regularly appear before the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration and Board of Medicine on professional disciplines rulemaking and other regulatory proceedings.
